Loyola School, Jamshedpur marked calendar dates as it observed the Safety Week conducted by the SAFE Club. The focus was to sensitize youth about road safety as well as emergency preparedness.
An insightful assembly was conducted by Plus Two students. They delivered the message through a light-hearted standup comedy act; highlighting common road safety violations such as driving motorcycles without helmets, talking on mobile phones while driving, ignoring basic traffic laws, and not following stop signs.
A poster making and slogan writing competition was conducted where selected students from both classes 6 to 8 and 9 to 12 were given the opportunity to create new and innovative ideas around the common theme of road safety. All entries were exhibited at the school gates for parents, staff, and even passersby.

An emergency evacuation drill was also undertaken which helped students to understand how to navigate towards exits and assembly points in case there is a fire or a natural disaster. The drill was done in a disciplined and orderly fashion.
In order to conclude the week's activities, a talk show was handled by Sakshi Gupta along with Siddharth Agarwal, Bavneet Kaur, and Sunil Parekh of Young Indians Foundation. The session centered on The Good Samaritan Law, which provides legal protection to individuals who assist accident victims which was then followed by a quiz to test the understanding of the students about basic road safety rules.
The week ended with students gaining practical knowledge and a stronger sense of responsibility towards safety
