"Jamshedpur Police Seizes Jewelry Worth Rs. 1.57 Crores in Major Pre-Election Operation"
Jamshedpur: In view of the assembly elections, Jamshedpur police is continuously conducting investigation campaigns at checkposts and railway stations. Last Sunday, FST and RPF took action on the secret information received by SSP Kishore Kaushal and Rural SP Rishabh Garg. During this, the police have seized ornaments worth about 1.57 crores.
This consignment was being brought by rail. Jamshedpur police has informed the Income Tax Department about the entire matter. This is the biggest consignment caught in the state so far. The seized goods include gold worth about 1 crore 14 lakhs, platinum worth about 3 lakhs, diamonds worth about 9 lakhs and silver worth 31 lakhs. The police is investigating the entire matter.
