"Sadar Hospital Overwhelmed with Seasonal Disease Patients, Beds in Short Supply"
"In recent days, a large number of patients have been coming to Sadar Hospital in Chaibasa and other areas of the district due to seasonal diseases. However, due to the increasing number of patients, all patients are not getting beds in the hospital. About a month and a half ago, 10 additional beds were installed in the hospital at the initiative of Minister Deepak Birua.
In this regard, Minister's representative Rajaram Gupta met with Civil Surgeon Dr. Sushanto Kumar Manjhi in his office on Friday and demanded action to solve the problems faced by patients undergoing treatment in the hospital. He said that patients are being treated by sleeping on the floor in the emergency ward of the hospital, which is very worrying. The Civil Surgeon said that 19 beds have been arranged on the second floor of the OPD in recent days. Mr. Gupta also demanded arrangement of additional beds, on which the Civil Surgeon said that 10 more beds will be installed near the PICU ward on the ground floor of the OPD soon.
Mr. Gupta also inquired about the number of dengue patients along with seasonal diseases, on which the Civil Surgeon said that from January to August 2024, a total of 19 dengue patients were found after testing. He said that the blood samples of the patients coming to the hospital are being tested carefully. However, the data of dengue patients from private pathology centers is not available, for which letters have also been issued to all, and action is being taken against those who do not provide data. The Civil Surgeon said that most of the patients are coming with viral fever. They don't need to panic, they can get rid of it by getting regular check-ups and treatment."
